Voting will be held for 55 seats in nine districts on Monday: UP Election 2022- Phase 2.

After campaigning stops, candidates knocking from door to door, voting for 55 seats in the second phase tomorrow

After 62.08 percent voting in the first phase in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, in the second phase, the candidates of nine districts are trying to increase it by doing door-to-door contact.

After the campaigning for the second phase of the election ended at 6 pm on Saturday, the candidates were knocking door-to-door from Sunday morning.

Voting will be held on Monday from 7 am. In which the fate of 586 candidates including five ministers will be imprisoned in the EVMs.

Voting will be held for 55 seats in nine districts on Monday in the second phase for the formation of the 18th Legislative Assembly in Uttar Pradesh.

The campaigning for this phase ended at 6 pm on Saturday.

In the second phase, more than two crore voters will participate in the voting. In the second phase, polling will be held in Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Sambhal, Rampur, Amroha, Badaun, Bareilly, and Shahjahanpur.

In the 2017 elections, out of these 55 seats, 38 were with BJP, 15 with SP, and two with Congress.

The Election Commission is busy preparing to conduct the elections by adopting the methods of fair, free, transparent, and prevention from Corona.

The commission took detailed information about the election preparations by video conferencing with the DMs of nine districts.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Brahmdev Ram Tiwari told that all preparations have been completed for the second phase of the elections.

The election campaign ended at 6 pm on Saturday. Polling for this phase will be held on February 14 from 7 am to 6 pm.

Special arrangements have been made at each polling booth for the convenience of voters and protection from Covid.

Security very tight:

In the second phase, companies of the Central Armed Police Force along with additional police force are deployed in eight sensitive assembly constituencies including Deoband of Saharanpur.

The police are keeping a close watch on Deoband, Rampur Maniharan seat of Saharanpur, Sambhal and Asmoli seat of Sambhal and Nagina, Dhampur and Bijnor seat of Bijnor.

With the end of the election campaign, the police have increased patrolling and checking.

There is a tight guard in 55 assembly constituencies and instructions have been given to keep a close watch on those coming especially from outside.

Every small and big piece of information is being monitored from the social media center and control room of DGP headquarters.

On Saturday, the last day of campaigning for the second phase, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath campaigned in favor of the party’s candidates by holding public meetings in Saharanpur, Badaun, and Amroha.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya campaigned in Bijnor and Shahjahanpur.

Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi sought votes in support of BJP candidates in Rampur.

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav held several public meetings in Badaun and Shahjahanpur and appealed for the victory of the party’s candidates.
