US-India Will Have To Continue Cooperation For Big Challenges

US-India will have to continue cooperation to deal with big challenges – Blinken.

There are many such big challenges including the Corona epidemic and the climate crisis, which America and India are facing together and it needs to be taken forward continuously.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke at an event under the US-India Higher Education Dialogue at Harvard University on Tuesday local time.

He said that the university is playing an important role in strengthening the relationship between India and America.

Secretary of State Blinken said that as the world’s oldest and largest democracies, the US and India always have something to learn from each other.

Blinken further said that the fourth ‘two plus two’ ministerial talks between the two countries were held on Monday.

In this dialogue, it was decided to increase bilateral cooperation in other areas including education.

The two countries have also expressed their intention to set up a new Indo-US Education and Skills Development Working Group.

“We are fortunate to have 200,000 Indians studying in American universities, enriching our campuses, enriching our fellow citizens,” he said.

Blinken highlighted the importance of a strong bond between the two countries’ higher education systems.

India and the US are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations. To commemorate this, the US Mission in India on Thursday shared a video in which many celebrities are seen.

US Deputy Ambassador Patricia Lasina said, “At the heart of the US-India partnership is the numerous personal friendships that Americans and Indians have built over the years.

They study, work, live and learn together. The people who contributed to this video are top in their respective fields. This shows that people-to-people ties have helped both countries flourish.

People-to-people ties are one of the cornerstones of US-India relations, the US embassy said in a statement.
