According to reports, this incident has killed at least 38 individuals. The US Army’s Central Command has also confirmed these attacks. The US targeted the port of Ras Issa, which is under Houthi control.. The attack was so deadly that 38 people lost their lives.

The Houthis had targeted ships
The Houthis claim they were targeting ships associated with Israel in protest of the war in Gaza, and they have launched dozens of drone and missile attacks on ships traversing the waterway since November 2023.
When there was a two-month calm in Gaza, they stopped attacking shipping channels. Although they vowed to resume attacks after Israel resumed its attack on Gaza last month, they have not made any claims since.
