UP Assembly by Election 2020 To Be Held On November 3
UP Assembly by Election 2020: Commandant deployed on the battlefield of Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-election, now waiting for November 3. Uttar Pradesh will have a by-election on November 3 on seven of the vacant eight seats.
This election before the 2022 assembly elections is a tough test for the BJP in power. The BJP has six of these vacant seven seats. One was won by the Samajwadi Party candidate in the 2017 assembly elections.
For the seven seats, all the parties of the state have announced the names of the candidates. Their nomination is also going on, along with the big leaders of every party are now holding a small meeting and also holding a virtual meeting in different constituencies.
Generals are also stationed at the front in the battlefield. Now everyone is waiting for November 3. Along with all the big parties of the state, smaller parties have also started nominating their candidates. October 16 is the last date for nomination, that is why today, on Thursday, the candidates of most parties will file their nominations.
Unnao’s Bangarmau seat
Bangaramau seat of Unnao is vacant due to the membership of Kuldeep Singh Sengar, BJP MLA. The challenge for the BJP is to retain this seat. BJP has fielded former district president Shrikant Katiyar of Unnao from here.
The Samajwadi Party has given tickets to Suresh Kumar Pal and the BSP to Mahesh Prasad. Congress has nominated Aarti Bajpai from Bangarmau as its candidate. The Congress was the first to announce the ticket.
Tundla safe seat in Firozabad
The seat is vacant after cabinet minister SP Singh Baghel was elected MP in the Yogi Adityanath government in Tundla reserved seat of Firozabad. BJP has given ticket to Prempal Dhangar on this seat.
SP’s Maharaj Singh Dhangar is in front of them. The BSP has fielded Sanjeev Kumar Chak and the Congress has fielded Sneh Lata from here.
Amroha’s ninth Sadat seat
Naugawan Sadat seat of Amroha is vacant after the death of Chetan Chauhan, a cabinet minister in Yogi Adityanath government. The Bharatiya Janata Party has given ticket to Sangeeta Chauhan, wife of former international cricketer late Chetan Chauhan.
Sangeeta Chauhan has been the General Manager of the Central Bank of India. To counter her, Samajwadi Party has fielded Syed Javed Abbas, BSP Mohammad Furkan Ahmed and Congress has fielded Kamlesh Singh.
Bulandshahr Sadar seat of Landshahr
Bulandshahr Sadar seat of Bulandshahr is vacant due to the death of BJP MLA Virendra Singh Sirohi in a road accident. BJP has nominated Usha Sirohi, the wife of the late Virendra Singh Sirohi, from here.
The Samajwadi Party has aligned with the Rashtriya Lok Dal on this seat. Rashtriya Lok Dal has fielded Praveen Singh. Mohammad Yunus from BSP and Sushil Chaudhary from Congress will contest.
Ghatampur reserved seat of Kanpur
The seat was vacant due to the death of Cabinet Minister Kamalrani Varun in the Yogi Adityanath government in Ghatampur reserved seat of Kanpur. The BJP has fielded Upendra Paswan, president of the Scheduled Front in Kanpur Bundelkhand region.
The Samajwadi Party has fielded runner-up Indrajit Corey in the 2017 election. The BSP has given tickets to Kuldeep Kumar Sankhwar and the Congress to Kripa Shankar.
Deoria Sadar seat of Deoria
Deoria Sadar seat of Deoria is vacant due to the death of BJP MLA Janmejaya Singh. Here all the big parties have fielded Brahmin candidates. BJP has given ticket to Satya Prakash Mani. He is a professor in the Department of Political Science at Sant Vinoba PG College.
SP has nominated Brahmashankar Tripathi, a cabinet minister in Akhilesh Yadav government. BSP has fielded Abhayanath Tripathi, while Congress has fielded Mukund Bhaskar Mani Tripathi.
Malhani seat in Jaunpur
Malhani seat in Jaunpur is vacant after the demise of Parasnath Yadav of Samajwadi Party. From here, the BJP has fielded Manoj Singh from the BJP. Manoj Singh, who is contesting an assembly for the first time, has been an officer of Allahabad University Students’ Union.
The Samajwadi Party has fielded Lucky Yadav, son of the late Parasnath Yadav. Khanty leader Parasnath Yadav was the cabinet minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government, after SP General Secretary Mulayam Singh Yadav in the state.
In the 2017 election of Parasnath Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav came to Jaunpur to promote him. The BSP has given tickets to Jai Prakash Dubey while the Congress has nominated Rakesh Mishra as its candidate from here.
Former MP Bahubali Dhananjay Singh has also rejected the claim as an independent candidate. In 2017, Dhananjay Singh was in the fray on the Nishad Party ticket here.
