Ukraine-Russia war, danger looms over Europe, America engaged in alerting the security system.

The United States has expressed its commitment to strengthening Europe’s security system in view of Russia’s attacks on Ukraine. NATO has described Moscow as the biggest threat to the West.

US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that the US is expanding its forces in Europe to bolster regional security following Russia’s attack on Ukraine and will build the first permanent base in Poland.

“NATO is strong and united,” Biden said in a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at the opening of the annual summit of leaders of NATO member states in Madrid, and the steps taken at this summit will further enhance our collective strength.

Biden said the US was setting up a permanent headquarters in Poland, sending a fleet of two additional F-35 fighter jets to Britain.

In addition, the US will also send more air defense and other capability systems to Germany and Italy.

“Today I am announcing that the United States will increase its force presence in Europe and act proactively in the changing security landscape and strengthen our collective security,” Biden said.

“We are going to establish a permanent headquarters in Poland, the US Fifth Military Corps, and strengthen US-NATO interoperability throughout the eastern region,” the US president said.

Biden announced a day earlier that the US would deploy two additional destroyers to its naval base in Rota, Spain.

The White House said that Biden has a commitment that there will be more than one million American soldiers in Europe.

That number has risen by nearly 20,000 since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine four months ago.

The US on Tuesday blacklisted 36 companies, including pro-Russian Pakistanis and Chinese, in the Ukraine war.

President Joe Biden’s administration has blacklisted five Chinese business companies for helping the Russian military and defense industry.

According to the Federal Register, the other 31 companies blacklisted are from Russia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Lithuania, Pakistan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
