Hyderabad’s Saroornagar Police on Thursday arrested two relatives of Ashrin Sultana alias Pallavi, accused in the murder of Bilipuram Nagaraju.

The accused have been identified as Ashrin Sultana’s brother Syed Mobin Ahmed and Mohd Masood Ahmed.

Significantly, a 25-year-old Hindu Dalit youth, who married a Muslim girl in Telangana, was brutally murdered by his Muslim brother-in-law (Syed Mobin Ahmed).

He was dragged to the ground and beaten up with a rod. He was stabbed several times with a knife. The youth died on the spot.

It is said that the girl’s brother was strongly against the marriage of his sister to a Hindu youth.

Five people were suspected to be involved in the murder.

Police said on Thursday that the incident took place on Wednesday night in the LB Nagar area of ​​the city.

Villupuram Nagaraju, a Dalit youth, was going somewhere on a bike with his wife Asreen Sultana when two accused (Syed Mobin Ahmed and Mohammad Masood Ahmed) on a scooter reached there and stopped them.

After this, a Dalit Hindu youth was publicly attacked mercilessly. He was dragged on the road. He was beaten with a rod. Even so, the accused were not accepted.

He was also stabbed several times with a knife.

Based on preliminary investigation, the senior police officer said that the woman’s brother did not want his sister to marry a youth of another religion, so he decided to kill the youth.

The wife of the deceased said, ‘Five assailants attacked my husband on the road. The father of the youth also said that his daughter-in-law’s brother was against the marriage.

A love affair happened in college

The couple had a friendship while studying in college. The two got married in January this year despite objections from the girl’s family.

After marriage, Sultana changed her name to Pallavi. According to the media, the deceased’s sister Ramadevi said, “Since the marriage, my brother was being threatened by the family members of the girl.

A complaint was given to the Mominpet police station in this regard, but the police did not pay heed.
