The Supreme Court has filed a petition against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chairman Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jai Shah. This petition states that both of them have decided to hold the Indian Premier League in Dubai after the end of their tenure.

The petitioner is Naresh H Makani, treasurer of the Jharkhand Cricket Association. He said in the petition that the decision is against the law and he had no authority to make such a decision. The affidavit states that both officers are illegally holding their positions. They are making decisions that are not right for Indian cricket.
