Militants killed an education department employee by entering his house in South Kashmir’s Lurgam Tral on Friday night. The terrorists managed to escape after the incident.
The security forces have launched a search operation since late night to nab the terrorists, encircling the entire area.
In the early morning this morning, the security forces have started searching for the terrorists from house to house.
Terrorist absconding after killing: According to information received from Trail, around 9.30 pm, two to three terrorists armed with automatic weapons entered Lurgan.
The terrorists knocked on the door of the house of Javed Ahmed Malik (35), who was working as a peon in the Girls Higher Secondary School, Khalil Tral.
As soon as Javed opened the door, the terrorists entered inside. The terrorists made him stand in front of his family members and fired two to three bullets at him.
Javed Ahmed fell on the ground as soon as the bullets hit him and the terrorists left from there thinking him to be dead.
After the terrorists left, his family informed the police and took him to a nearby hospital for treatment. The doctors at the hospital declared Javed brought dead.
Concerned police officials said that on the basis of interrogation of the people present on the spot at the time of the incident, clues have been collected about the killers.
To nab the killers, a cordon and search operation has been launched in Lurgan and its adjoining areas. Other details are awaited.
Meanwhile, police, along with central paramilitary forces, launched a search operation on information that terrorists were hiding in Airbag, Akbar Colony Machuwa, about 10 km from Lalchock.
