Some unidentified persons snatched a rifle from a police constable at Shamispora Chowk in the Khudwani area of ​​South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.

Constable Mudasir Ahmed, whose rifle was snatched, is a resident of Devsar. These days he is posted in Wanpoh police station.

On receiving information about the snatching of the rifle from the police personnel, the police and security forces surrounded the area and started a search operation. However, no one has been found yet.

According to the information, Mudasir Ahmed was on duty at Shamispora Chowk falling under the Wanpoh police station area on Sunday afternoon.

Then suddenly some youths came and his AK-47 rifle swung into nine-two-eleven. Police constable Mudasir immediately informed the police station.

It is feared that the terrorist who snatched the weapon may be hiding somewhere nearby, but no trace of him could be traced till late afternoon.

On the other hand, the police have also started trying to scrutinize the footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the area so that the arms snatchers can be identified.

It should be known that terrorists are trying to carry out any terrorist incident in Jammu and Kashmir around Independence Day. So the security agencies are fully alert.
