Telangana Police Arrested 11 People Operating A Fake VI Racket

Telangana police arrested 11 people operating fake vehicle insurance racket in Cyberabad.

The Telangana police on Tuesday busted a fake vehicle insurance gang in Cyberabad and arrested 11 people, and seized 1,125 fake policies from their possession.

According to police, the accused conducted a pollution test of vehicles near highways and RTO offices.

Police said, ‘On the complaint of Reliance General Insurance’s area manager about fake vehicle insurance policies.

The Special Operations Team, Shamshabad zone busted a fake vehicle insurance gang and apprehended 11 persons, who were found to be fake vehicles under various insurance companies.

They were selling a large amount of money in the name of insurance policies.

The police said that whenever a vehicle comes to them for pollution investigation, the accused will inquire about the insurance policies from the vehicle owners and if they do not have them.

The accused will prompt them to purchase vehicle insurance and issue insurance bonds.

He further said that in RTO offices as well, passenger and transport vehicles cannot be registered without insurance policies.

So the accused establish a relationship with the RTO agents, who promise to pay them a commission and through them they get the vehicle owners to buy insurance.

Police seized 1,125 fake vehicle insurance policies, three tickets of insurance companies, computer systems, printers, and other related documents related to fake policies from the possession of the arrested accused.
