Telangana Encounter: Police encounter in Telangana, 2 Maoists killed. Two Maoists were killed during firing with police in Telangana. These Maoists were killed in an encounter with the police in Konaram Bhim Asifabad district late Saturday. This is the third incident of police and Naxalite firing in less than a month in northern Telangana.
In-charge District Superintendent of Police V. Satyanarayana said that police personnel were conducting a search operation after the information of the presence of Maoists in Kadamba forest area of Kagajnagar division of the district. At the same time, the Maoists started firing open.
During this time, two Maoists were shot in response to the police action. There have been no casualties from the police in this incident. The slain Naxalites have not yet been identified, but one of the top Maoists in the area, M. There is a possibility of Adelu alias Bhaskar running away.
The police carried out a combing operation in the area following which Bhaskar was informed, who is the Maoist’s Division Committee Secretary for Mancherial and Asifabad districts. He was roaming in Chittiguda near Asifabad city.
The process of giving permanent commission to women officers in the Indian Army started
The Ministry of DefenCe has stated that the selection board has started its process to give permanent commission to women officers. The Ministry said in a statement that the Special Number-5 Selection Board constituted for the screening of women officers for permanent commissioning in the Indian Army has started its operations at the Army Headquarters on 14 September 2020.
The board is headed by a Senior General Officer and includes a woman officer of the rank of Brigadier. Women officers have been allowed to be present on the Observer era so that there is transparency in the process. Permanent commission will be given only to women officers found eligible in the screening process.
