Farooq Abdullah, If Talks Are Held With China, Why Not With Pak

Farooq Abdullah said, there can be talks with China, so why not another neighbor. Farooq Abdullah said incidents of skirmishes on the border are increasing and people are being killed. A solution has to be found to deal with this situation.

Amidst the incidents of shelling along the border with Pakistan, the National Conference has supported talks with it. Party President Farooq Abdullah raised the matter in the Lok Sabha on Saturday. He said that if India can negotiate with China to end the border dispute, then talks should also be held with other neighbors to deal with the border situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Expressed happiness over army’s investigation into Shopian encounter

He said during zero hour that incidents of skirmishes on the border are increasing and people are being killed. A solution has to be found to deal with this situation. You are talking to China, so that it goes back (from the Ladakh border). We will also have to negotiate with our other neighbors to get out of this situation. Farooq expressed happiness over the army’s inquiry into the encounter killing in Shopian.

He said, I am glad that the army has accepted that three people were killed accidentally in Shopian. I hope that the government will give good compensation in this matter. Abdullah said that there has been no development in Jammu and Kashmir. In the Union Territory, the ban on 4G services has caused damage to students and businessmen. He thanked the MPs for raising their voice during his custody.

It is known that Dr. Farooq Abdullah reached Delhi out of Kashmir for the first time to attend the Parliament session last Sunday after the implementation of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act on August 5, 2019. He was accompanied by Baramulla-Kupwara MP Mohammad Akbar Lone and Anantnag-Pulwama MP Justice (retd) Hasnain Masoodi.
