The team of Indian shooters who qualified for the Olympics left for Croatia on Tuesday for a two-and-a-half-month training cum competition tour. This will be the team’s final preparation before the Tokyo Olympics.
India’s 13-member shooting team, along with coaches and support staff, left for the Croatian capital of Zagreb where the team will take part in a training camp.
After taking part in the training camp, the team will leave for Osiek where they have to take part in the European Championships (20 May to 6 June) and then the joint ISSF World Cup (22 June to 3 July).
Two skeet shooters Angad Veer Singh Bajwa and Meraj Ahmed Khan, who is going to the Olympics, will train in Italy.
Two Indian shooters, including Gurjot Singh Khangura, took part in the ongoing Shotgun World Cup in Lonato where they failed to make it to the final of the men’s skeet event on Monday.
