Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran on Tuesday said Air India will acquire 250 aircraft, including 40 widebody aircraft, from Airbus.

The Tata Group-owned airline will purchase forty wide-frame A350 planes and 210 narrow-frame aircraft.

Air India was looking for a strong fleet of aircraft to strengthen its domestic and international aircraft network.
