Taliban released TTP cleric Fakir Mohammad and other terrorists from Afghan jails. The history of Afghanistan in the hands of the Taliban is now in its heyday.

On one hand, the Taliban assures that Afghanistan will not pose a threat to any country, while on the other hand, it is releasing terrorists of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist group from jail.

The intentions of the Taliban are now slowly becoming clear.

Several terrorists belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist group have been released from prisons in Afghanistan after the Taliban took control of the country.

According to the report of Sama News, one of the most recognized names is Maulana Fakir Mohammad who is the former deputy chief of TTP.

Maulana Fakir acknowledged his close ties to Al Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri.

Several prominent Taliban commanders released by the Taliban include Waqas Mehsud, Hamza Mehsud, Zarqawi Mehsud.

Baitullah Mehsud, Qari Hamidullah Mehsud, Hameed Mehsud, and Mazhar Mehsud.

The news, quoting a journalist, said that the Taliban has released about 2,300 prominent Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan commanders and leaders from the country’s prisons in Waziristan, Sargodha, Swat, and Bajaur.

Tolo News reported that Anas Haqqani, a member of the Taliban’s political office, held a meeting with former Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah in Kabul on Wednesday.

Taliban’s five-year rule in Afghanistan

The Taliban ruled Afghanistan for five years from 1996 to 2001.

The Taliban imposed Sharia Islamic law in the country in those five years during their rule, introducing punishments tailored to their strict interpretation of the law.

Publicly hanging convicted murderers and adulterers and carrying out the dismemberment of people if found guilty of theft.

In those five years men had to grow beards, they could not shave their beards and women had to wear a fully covered hijab.
