However, considerable tension was seen from the incident. In the evening, the convoy of BJP state president Dilip Ghosh was going to Sahapur. On getting information about this, the TMC supporters gathered near Jogram in Jamalpur carrying a black flag.

When the state president’s convoy started passing by, they showed a black flag. At the same time, the TC supporters’ dispute with the BJP began and the stone pelting was started from both sides. Workers of both parties beat each other up. After which the police controlled the situation using force.

BJP district vice-president Raman Sharma said that BJP workers were attacked in front of the police, they threw stones. The police also did not try to stop them. BJP’s vehicles were also vandalized.

The BJP state president accused the police of taking action at the behest of TMC. He said that TMC is doing political programs all over Bengal. But when the BJP goes to a political program, the law is shown, it is hindered. Even cases are registered on the BJP.
