States And UTs Currently Have More Than 20 Million Vaccine Doses

States and Union Territories currently have more than 20 million vaccine doses: Center.

The Union Health Ministry said on Monday that more than two crore doses of corona vaccine are available with the states and union territories.

They will get three lakh more doses within the next three days. The ministry said that the Center has so far provided 20 crores 76 lakh 10 thousand 230 doses to the states and union territories absolutely free.

More than 18.71 million doses are used

According to the data available till eight o’clock on Monday morning, 18 crores 71 lakh 13 thousand 705 doses have been used till May 16, including the damaged ones.

In this way, two crores four lakh 96 thousand 525 doses are available with the states and union territories. They will get 2,94,660 doses within three days.

All kind of help being given to the states

In the fight against the Corona epidemic, the Central Government is providing many other types of help to the states apart from the vaccine. The Center further assured the states to continue providing the vaccine free of cost.

4.32 Lakh employees of Railways get Covid vaccine.

Meanwhile, the railway has said that so far about 4.32 lakh employees of the railway have been vaccinated with Covid-19. Emphasis is being laid on the states to vaccinate the rest of the employees.

It may be noted that recently, the government had written a letter to the states that they should use their free quota vaccines only for the vaccination of advanced government employees or people above 45 years of age as decided by the government.

14.8 lakh doses were applied on Monday.

According to the data released late last night by the Health Ministry, 14,79,592 doses were given to the beneficiaries till 8 pm on Monday.

Till now, 18.44 doses have been given. Of these, 59.32 lakh people in the age group of 18-44 have been given the first dose of the Corona vaccine.

11.32 crores over 45 years of age have been given first and 2.62 crores have been given the second dose.

Similarly, among the beneficiaries are 96.58 lakh health workers (first dose), 66.52 lakh health workers (second dose), 1.44 crore frontline workers (first dose), and 82.16 lakh frontline workers (second dose).
