SP candidate Abhay Singh was arrested for firing on a convoy of BJP candidate’s vehicle in Ayodhya, violence in the sensitive area even before voting.

Clashes and firing also started after the Gosaiganj gangsters of Ayodhya, the polling place for the fourth phase of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, came face to face.

Samajwadi Party candidate Abhay Singh has been arrested by the police from his residence in Gosaiganj late on Friday night in connection with the firing between supporters of Samajwadi Party candidate Abhay Singh and BJP candidate Aarti Tiwari.

The Maharajganj police arrested SP candidate from Gosaiganj and former MLA Abhay Singh from his residence Rajepur. Four supporters of Abhay Singh have also been arrested.

The rioting of former MLA Abhay Singh has persisted in this area for a long time.

In the case of clash and firing between supporters of Samajwadi Party candidate and former MLA Abhay Singh and supporters of BJP candidate Aarti Tiwari in Gosaiganj, Ayodhya late last night.

The police arrested Samajwadi Party candidate and former MLA Abhay Singh from Gosaiganj on Saturday morning.

Along five people have been arrested.

In the Gosaiganj assembly, considered to be the most sensitive of Ayodhya, on Friday night, there was such a clash between two musclemen over political supremacy that firing started after stone-pelting.

During this, many vehicles were also damaged and there was stone pelting in the police station too.

Abhay Singh and his associates are accused of firing at the vehicle convoy of supporters of BJP candidate Aarti Tiwari.

Late last night, the supporters of BJP candidate had accused SP supporters of attacking at the Kabirpur intersection.

After this, supporters of SP candidate Abhay Singh pelted stones at Maharajganj police station.

After the video of this stone pelting surfaced, the police arrested Abhay Singh along with his supporters this morning.

In this case, SSP Shailesh Pandey said that the candidates of both parties have accused each other of stone-pelting and firing. There is no report of any person getting injured.

SP candidate Abhay Singh and BJP candidate Aarti Tiwari’s supporter Vikas Singh were present in the Kabirpur village of Maharajganj police station area late on Friday night.

During this, there was a dispute between both sides and the matter reached till firing. No one was reported injured in the incident.

But about half a dozen vehicles were vandalized, including vehicles from both sides. SP candidate Abhay Singh has alleged that people associated with the ruling party have attacked his vehicles.

On the other hand, Maya Block chief Kaptan Singh, a supporter of the BJP candidate, has alleged that when he got information about the attack on his colleague Vikas Singh.

He was coming in his vehicle to the police station Maharajganj to complain. Meanwhile, his vehicle was vandalized by SP supporters and indecent with him.

In the Kabirpur village of the Gosaiganj assembly, the SP-BJP supporters reached the Maharajganj police station with a complaint regarding stone pelting and firing.

They have been accused of pelting stones at the police station.

People from both sides were present outside the police station demanding action in the matter. Meanwhile, SP supporters pelted stones at the police station, accusing them of not taking action.

The police dispersed the crowd present outside the police station using mild force.

Significantly, in the high-profile Gosaiganj assembly seat of Ayodhya, the leaders of the two dominant images are face to face. Abhay Singh is the candidate of the Samajwadi Party.

This time from the BJP, Aarti Tiwari, wife of former MLA Indra Pratap Tiwari Khabbu, who is under detention in jail in a case from the BJP, is the candidate.

There is tension among the supporters of both candidates.
