South Korea claims: North Korea fires ballistic missile towards East Sea, warns of retaliation.

Amid tensions with South Korea, North Korea once again fired a ballistic missile on Wednesday morning.

Media reports quoting South Korea’s military said North Korea fired an unspecified ballistic missile toward the East Sea as a provocation.

Military authorities said a ballistic missile launched on Wednesday fell into the water after flying about 1,000 kilometers.

South Korea claims: The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said the missile was fired from a high angle.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that it had detected a ballistic missile launch. The report states that not much information has been given regarding the launch.

Pyongyang fired a ballistic missile earlier this week amid tensions fueled by North Korea’s accusations against US spy plane operations.

Earlier, North Korea launched a ballistic missile on June 15, Yonhap news agency reported.

North Korea warns of retaliation.

State media Korean Central News Agency reported on Tuesday that North Korea has accused the United States of illegally flying over its economic zone eight times and warned of retaliation.

The Pentagon previously denied allegations that Pyongyang had violated aviation laws and said the US military was complying with international law, media reports said.

America replied to North Korea.

“The United States, as always, will work with its allies and partners to fly, sail, and operate safely and responsibly anywhere permitted by international law,” Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said at a media briefing.”

He continued, “I have nothing further to say on those comments or threats coming from North Korea. We operate as responsibly and safely as possible in international waterways and airspace.”
