SL vs AUS: Sri Lanka announces 21-man squad for ODI series against Australia, Rajapaksa returns.

Sri Lanka Cricket has announced its 21-man squad for the upcoming ODI series against Australia.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa has returned to this team while Dunith Velalez has been included in the squad for the first time. Sri Lanka has to play a 5-match ODI series against Australia, which starts on June 14.

Under the leadership of Dasun Shanaka, Sri Lanka will take on Australia in this series, which will be part of the Cricket World Cup Super League.

AUS vs SL: Initially, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board had announced a 26-man provisional squad for the T20 and ODI series, but before the first ODI, this squad has been amended to 21.

Ashen Bandara, Janith Lianez, Dhananjay Lakshman, and Sahan Arachi have not been included in this squad. The names of these players were included in the provisional squad.

Rajapaksa played his last ODI against South Africa in Colombo in September last year.

Looking at the career of 19-year-old Velalez, who was included in the team for the first time, he has taken 34 wickets in 11 first-class matches.

Sri Lanka trail 0-2 in the T20 series.

Sri Lanka is already trailing 0-2 in the 3-match T20I series. Australia won the first match by 10 wickets and the second match by 3 wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the series.

The third and last match of the series will be played on June 11.
