Shiv Nadar Resigns From The Post Of MD Of HCL Technologies

Shiv Nadar resigns from the post of MD of HCL Technologies, will be made honorary chairman.

The Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director of HCL Technologies, Nadar has resigned from the position of Managing Director as well as Director.

He had completed the age of 76, Nadar resigned from the post on 19 July. Abe will serve as Honorary President of the company and as a strategic advisor to its Board.

This has been said in the regulatory information given by the company.

The company said, “In order to take advantage of the immense knowledge, experience and wisdom of Shiv Nadar in an advisory role.

The Board of Directors, in its meeting held today, after considering the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

With effect from July 20, 2021, Approved the appointment of him as ‘Honorary Chairman and Chairman of the Strategic Advisor to the Board’ for a period of five years.

C Vijayakumar, the current President and CEO of HCL, has been appointed as its CEO and Managing Director for a period of five years, with effect from July 20.

The payment of remuneration or any facility under this role will be subject to the approval of the shareholders.

The company has appointed Chairman and CEO C Vijayakumar as Managing Director in the rank of CEO and MD for a period of five years with effect from July 20.

In July last year, Nadar resigned from the role of chairman and was replaced by his daughter Roshni Nadar Malhotra.

Roshni was the first woman to head a listed Indian IT firm. Shiv Nadar is a pioneer of the computing and IT industry in India.

In 1976 he founded the HCL Group, which started out as a technology hardware company.

Manufactured the country’s first indigenous computers and then evolved into a more comprehensive software services global organization.

More than 7.38 crore ITRs filed in the financial year 2020-21: Finance Ministry.

The Finance Ministry on Monday said that more than 7.38 crore ITRs have been filed in the financial year ended March 31, 2021.

Along with this, there has been an increase in the number of income tax returns filed over the years.

Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.

The total number of ITRs (including amended returns) filed in 2018-19 is more than 6.74 crore, in 2019-20 (more than 6.78 crores), and 2020-21 ( 7.38 crores).

The Minister also informed about the steps taken by the Government to ease the process of filing Income Tax Returns.

It includes proactively promoting e-Verification of ITRs and establishing a completely paperless environment, prior to the filing of ITRs.

Changes in Form 26AS also included details of deduction at source (TDS), tax payment, specified financial transactions, and other information.
