Sensex Crosses 40,500, Nifty Also Above 12 Thousand
Sensex crosses 40,500, Nifty also above 12 thousand, Stock market opens with gains. Today, on the fourth trading day of the week i.e. Thursday, the stock market opened with a rise.
The Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex started at 5,830.04, up 53.30 points. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange opened with a gain of 52.40 points at 12023.45.
The stock market closed again on the previous trading day. The Sensex crosses 40794.74 points, up 169.23 points. The Nifty closed at the level of 11971.05 with a gain of 36.55 points.
Among the major stocks of today, shares of Adani Ports, UltraTech Cement, HDFC Life, SBI Life and IOC opened on the green mark. The shares of SBI, Shree Cement, HCL Tech, Wipro and Titan started on the decline.
15 crore women take loans without guarantee under Mudra scheme: Irani
Union Minister Smriti Irani said on Wednesday that under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, 15 crore women across the country have received guarantee-free loans.
The Minister of Women and Child Development and Textiles also said that employment opportunities have arisen in the manufacture of Personal Protective Clothing (PPE) for more than six lakh women. The region has had more than 1,100 companies since April.
Irani while addressing a webinar organized by industry organization FICCI said that through the women’s helpline, the government has been successful in rescuing and supporting more than 50 lakh women in the last one year.
He said that during the epidemic, the Center, along with state governments, provided relief, rescue and rehabilitation to more than 90 thousand women.
Irani said, “We are strengthening our judicial processes to help the needy women and that’s why we are setting up 1,023 fast track courts across the country to ensure speedy justice to women.” There was not a single PPE being made in India till April, but since then more than 1,100 companies have been engaged in making it. Today the estimated annual income of these companies is about one billion dollars.
