Iran Is Increasing The Capacity Of Uranium Enrichment

Iran is increasing the capacity of uranium enrichment, the atomic bomb can be made from the modified material.

Iran has decided to install hundreds of modern centrifuges for uranium enrichment at its underground plant, breaking the nuclear agreement with the world’s strongest countries.

This report has been given by the United Nations Monitoring of Nuclear Activities.

The report has increased pressure on US elected President Joe Biden, who has again announced his involvement in the nuclear deal with Iran.

According to the report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IEA), Iran is planning to install more advanced IR-2M centrifuges for uranium enrichment at its underground Natanja plant.

While the 2015 nuclear deal only allowed IR-1M centrifuges for low-level uranium enrichment. Such uranium is used to make electricity from nuclear power.

Whereas uranium, which is more efficient than advanced centrifuges, can be used to make nuclear bombs.

According to the report, Iran has recently sent 174 advanced centrifuges to its Natanj plant. It plans to increase the number of advanced centrifuges in the near future.

In a letter to the IAEA on December 2, Iran has also informed about the new plan for uranium enrichment.

Thus, Iran is withdrawing from the 2015 agreement. Iran took this step in 2018 after US President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the nuclear deal.

Biden, who was elected to the presidency on January 20 after defeating Trump in the election, expressed his desire to rejoin the nuclear deal.

But for this Iran will have to make a determination to accept the pre-conditions.
