Scooter rider hurled a bomb at CPI(M) headquarters, a high alert was issued across Kerala, an incident captured on CCTV.

A high alert has been sounded in Kerala after a bomb was hurled at the AKG Center, the party headquarters of the ruling CPI(M) in the capital of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram late on Thursday.

Whereas on Friday i.e. today Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is going to reach his constituency Wayanad for a three-day tour.

Kerala Police said CCTV footage showed a man coming on a two-wheeler around 11:30 pm and hurling a bomb at the building’s gate and running away.

He said there was no damage to the building, but the speed of the locally made bomb was high.

Speaking to the media, CPI(M) Central Committee member PK Smt. said, “I was staying on the third floor of AKG Center and I heard a hoarse sound around 11.30 am and saw smoke rising from the gate.

I was really shocked. All democratic forces must condemn this dastardly attack”. Party secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that Congress was behind the attack.

Let us inform you that Congress MP from Wayanad in Kerala, Rahul Gandhi will leave for a three-day tour in his constituency today. During this, he will be involved in many programs.

According to media reports, during the Wayanad tour, Rahul Gandhi will inaugurate the building of a Kisan Bank in Mananthavady and attend the UDF Bahujan Sangam in Sultan Bathery.

Thiruvananthapuram Police Commissioner Sparjan Kumar said, “We have constituted a special investigation team and started investigation.

We have beefed up security in all party offices,” he said.

At the same time, angered by this attack, CPI(M) workers took out protest rallies at many places and stone pelted at DCC offices in Kottayam and Kozhikode.

Let us tell you that last week (24 June) the office of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was attacked by an alleged group of Students Federation of Indian Activists, which attracted national attention.

Since then, sporadic violent incidents are taking place in the state.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi is reaching his constituency on a two-day visit. He will address a rally in Kalpetta on Friday evening.
