Before the assembly elections in Punjab, farmers have intensified their opposition to the leaders. The protest of the farmers against the agricultural reform laws is not decreasing.
On Sunday, there was a ruckus in the BJP meeting at the Bharat Vikas Parishad building behind the new grain market.
The meeting was organized under the leadership of BJP leader Bhupesh Agrawal and district head Vikas Sharma.
Ruckus by farmers At BJP’s meeting in Punjab: As soon as the meeting was announced, the farmer group reached there and started a vigorous demonstration.
As soon as the police tried to drive out the BJP leaders, the farmer leaders became furious and started the scuffle.
During this, along with kicking two BJP leaders, the farmers even tore the clothes of councilor Shanti Sapra.
DSP Ghanaur Jaswinder Singh wana reached the spot with a heavy police force. The situation remains tense at the spot.
Rajya Sabha member Shwet Malik had protested in Bathinda on June 30.
It is worth mentioning that on June 30, Rajya Sabha member Shwet Malik, who had arrived at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bathinda, had to face opposition from farmers.
As soon as the farmers got the information about Malik’s arrival, the farmers sat on a dharna on the road leading to AIIMS.
Meanwhile, a heavy police force was deployed under the leadership of SSP Bhupinderjit Singh Virk to stop the farmers.
At the same time, earlier in Firozpur, the convoy of Punjab BJP President Ashwani Sharma was attacked and the car was torn down. After this, the police had tightened the security of BJP’s election meetings.
