Roger Federer got the victory in a tough match, avoid being a victim of an upset.

Looking to win his ninth Wimbledon and a career-record 21st Grand Slam title, Roger Federer struggled to win the first round on the center grass court.

He was given a tough fight by France’s Adrian Mannarino, but he could not play the final set due to a knee injury and defeated Federer 6–4, 6–7, 3–6, 6–2 in a four-set match.

This is how the glorious day of Mannarino’s career came to an end due to bad luck. In front of Federer, Mannarino played brilliantly from the start, but he lost the first set 4-6.

After this, it looked like Federer would win three straight sets but Manarin gave everything to win the second set and took it 7-6.

After winning the second set against Federer, Mannarino further improved his game by winning the third set 6-3, indicating a turnaround.

Federer then showed his physical and mental strength to beat 41st-ranked Mannarino 6-2 in the fourth set.

At the end of the same set, Mannarino slipped his foot on the grass court, forcing him to abandon the match, and Federer was declared the winner.

In another women’s match, former world number one Angelique Kerber entered the second round with a 6-4, 6-3 win over her Wimbledon debutante Nina Stojanovic on Tuesday.

The world’s greatest tennis player, Roger Federer could also have been a victim of an upset, but his incredible game saved him.
