In the upcoming ‘One: Inside the Matrix’ tournament, to be held in Singapore on October 30, Ritu is going to compete against Cambodia’s mixed martial arts champion Now Surrey Pove.

According to Ritu, it will be an exciting match for which he is fully prepared. Their only aim is to give the country the first world champion in mixed martial arts.

Coming from a family of wrestlers, Ritu was attracted to mixed martial arts from childhood. But never thought that she would take it professionally as well.

But a time came when he started to wonder that till now no one from India has acquired the title of mixed martial arts. No champion has been made.

In the month of February of 2019, Ritu decided to join the Singapore-based world’s largest martial arts organization, One Championship (One), to fill this gap.

She has been alone in Singapore for the past year and a half, taking martial arts training. Ritu says, “For me, this is a completely new sports. Initially there was a problem.

The challenge was to learn a new game in a new country. In the meantime, Covid also came and stopped training due to lockdown. But to get something, one has to lose something.

I continued the practice with the help of online and videos. In this, the coaches help a lot, which has led to a good improvement in the game.

Ready to match with Now

Ritu is also known as ‘Indian Lioness’ (The Indian Tigress). As she smacked her opponents, the thunderous applause of the fans echoed throughout the stadium.

But this time there will be matches without spectators. On this, he says that there will be little difference because the energy of the audience has a different effect. But it is also true that while in the ring we just have to focus on our game. I will do the same.

About her preparations for the fight with a champion, Ritu said that wrestling is my strength and I have worked on the nuances of mixed martial arts. Now are the best fighters. But I have also worked hard. Yes, in the beginning, there was a little problem with striking, which I have worked on.

These days people are very fond of the biopic of the players. Movies made on them are also becoming hits. On whether Ritu would also like to do something like this, she said that I will make my biopic myself.

Because no one can tell the story of my struggle or life better than me. By the way, his entire focus at the moment is on winning the title of MMA Champion. The expectations of the country and fans have to be met.
