The Drug Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday arrested Riya under Section 16/20 of the NDPS Act. The bail application of Riya and her brother Shouvik will be heard in the special court today. Riya’s brothers Shouvik and Samuel Miranda had already been arrested by the NCB in connection with the drugs case.

NCB produced Riya in court on Tuesday. The court sent Riya to 14 days judicial custody till 22 September. Due to the night, Riya could not be taken to jail on Tuesday night and had to spend the night in the NCB lockup. NCB took the actress to Byculla Jail on Wednesday at 10.15 AM. Now on behalf of the actress, her lawyer Satish Maneshinde has filed a bail petition in the sessions court on Wednesday, which will be heard today.

Indrani Mukherjee is in jail in Byculla jail

Byculla Jail has a total of 18 barracks and a capacity of 350 female undertrial muljimo. In this jail, only 10 percent of the men are jail workers, from the jailor to the rest of the prison staff. Sheena Bora case accused Indrani Mukherjee is also lodged in this jail.

Sushant’s father complains against psychiatrist

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh wrote a letter to the Medical Council of India complaining against his son’s psychiatrist Dr. Susan Walker. In the letter, he has accused of making Sushant’s medical condition public. KK Singh has written that under 8.2 Regulation of Medical Council (Professional Conduct Attitude and Ethics) Regulations, 2002, a registered physician cannot breach the confidentiality of his patient.
