Retired Wing Commander Of IAF Targets ‘Gunjan Saxena’, Movie
Retired wing commander of IAF targets ‘Gunjan Saxena’, says Karan Johar is spreading lies. Retired wing commander Namrata Chandi, who worked with Kargil girl Gunjan Saxena, has accused the film’s producer Karan Johar of spreading lies. Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor’s film ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ is released on August 12 on the OTT platform Netflix. The film is getting a lot of love from the audience.
But on the other hand, there is also a ruckus about the film. Recently, the Indian Air Force has objected to the content of the film and has written a letter to the censor board. According to the Indian Air Force, the image of the IAF has been misrepresented in the film. Now retired wing commander Namrata Chandi, who worked with Kargil girl Gunjan Saxena, has accused the film’s producer Karan Johar Karan Johar (Karan Johar) of spreading lies.
Talking to Outlook, Namrata said, “I myself have been a helicopter pilot in the Airforce. I have never faced such exploitation or discrimination as shown in the film. I think there are professional and gentlemen with uniforms. Yes, I also had a problem in the beginning because there was no chasing room for girls and there was no ladies toilet as well. Despite this, male officers created space for us. Many times, officers used to stand in front of the screen, when I used to change. I was not insulted nor treated unfairly in my 15-year career.
Gunjan Saxena said- ‘Equal opportunity in IAF’
At the same time, Gunjan Saxena has given clarification on the controversy over his biopic. Speaking to a news portal, Gunjan Saxena said that he was always given equal rights in the Indian Air Force. IAF is the life of this film. I was given equal opportunities in the Air Force. All women are still given the same rights as men in the organization. In the last 20 years, the participation of women in the Indian Air Force has also increased considerably. This shows that the Indian Air Force has accepted the change with an open heart.
