Reliance Infra completes sale of Delhi-Agra toll road, total debt reduced by 20 percent.

Reliance Infra has completed the sale of the Delhi-Agra toll road to Cube Highways and Infrastructure. Reliance Infra informed about the completion of the deal on Friday.

The company has informed the stock exchanges that it has sold 100 per cent stake of DA Toll Road to Cube Highways and Infrastructure at an enterprise value of Rs 3,600 crore.

The deal was announced in March 2019, when a definitive binding agreement was reached between Reliance Infra and Cube Highways and Infrastructure.

Reliance Infra has said that the entire proceeds from this sale will be used to reduce debt.

The income from this deal has reduced the debt liability of Reliance Infra by 20 percent. The company’s debt liability has come down from Rs 17,500 crore to Rs 14,000 crore.

Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. was trading at a price of Rs 28.15, up 4.84 per cent.

The company has been developing projects through special purpose vehicles in the power, road, metro rail and airport sectors.

RInfra has been a premier engineering and construction service provider for power, infrastructure, metro and road projects.

According to information available on the company’s website, its board of directors includes Anil Dhirubhai Ambani, Satish Seth, Punit Garg, SS Kohli, K Ravikumar and others.
