Earlier, the leading news agency quoted Congress sources as saying that Ashok Gehlot camp MLAs who are currently staying in a hotel on Jaipur-Delhi highway amid the ongoing political crisis in Rajasthan, will be shifted to Jaisalmer on Friday.
It was told in the information that the MLAs will be shifted to the hotel after the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting. Sources had said that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will address the MLAs.
Significantly, these Congress MLAs, Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, and 18 rebel MLAs of Congress have been staying in the hotel since July 13 after rebelling against the government. However, Congress sources did not disclose the reason for the Jaisalmer shift to the MLAs.
Meanwhile, preparations are on to call the assembly session in Rajasthan from August 14. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday indicated that he would seek a confidence vote in the assembly session to be convened next fortnight.
Ashok Gehlot claimed that the MLAs were offered to change sides. He alleged that the MLAs were offered more money after the news of the session was called. The Chief Minister Gehlot appealed that the MLAs who have not accepted the money offered should return to the party
