Punjab Congress crisis: Navjot Singh Sidhu to meet Rahul Gandhi today amid rift with Captain Amarinder Singh.

Navjot Singh Sidhu will meet Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Delhi today amid a rift with Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

It is worth noting that in order to resolve the ongoing rift in the Punjab Congress.

Rahul Gandhi has been meeting Congress MLAs, MPs, and prominent leaders of Punjab at his residence continuously for the last few days.

Punjab Congress crisis: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi had constituted a three-member panel to end factionalism in the party’s Punjab unit.

Earlier on Friday, Vijender Singla, Rana Gurjit Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Dhillon, and MLA Lakhvir Singh attended the meeting at Rahul Gandhi’s residence.

Rajya Sabha MP Shamsher Singh Dhillon while talking to media persons had said that the meeting was held to resolve the infighting in Punjab Congress.

He said that decisions were taken to strengthen the party in the upcoming elections in the state.

Rahul Gandhi had met several senior leaders including Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Sunil Jakhar, Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal, and Harish Rawat in Delhi on Wednesday.

At the same time, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh did not meet Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi during the recent three-day visit to Delhi.

Punjab Congress crisis: On June 22, Captain appeared before a panel headed by Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge.

AICC general secretary in charge of Punjab affairs Harish Rawat and former MP JP Agarwal are members of the panel.

Let us tell you that Punjab is very important for Congress, as it is one of the few states where the party is in power and the result will have an impact on the party’s prospects outside the state as well.

Assembly elections are due in the state next year.
