Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s troubles may increase.

During the interrogation of the ED, his nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey has admitted that he has collected an amount of Rs 10 crore from illegal sand mining as well as transfers and postings of officers.

Today after the end of his four-day remand, the ED will produce him again in the court.

In the official statement issued by the ED, it has been said that during the investigation conducted during the search.

Kudratdeep, and Sandeep, during the interrogation, said that the amount of Rs 10 crore seized is related to Bhupinder Singh Honey.

After this, Honey was also questioned by the ED, he admitted that the amount was related to illegal mining but later he did not cooperate in the investigation.

After this, the ED had called Honey for investigation on February 3. Along with this, the ED asked Honey to bring documents related to Rs 10 crore with him.

Bhupinder Singh Honey Way could not produce the documents. After this, the ED arrested him during his interrogation in Jalandhar.

On February 4, he was produced in the court and obtained four-day remand. Today on Tuesday, the ED team will try to take Honey on remand for further action by presenting him in the court.

It is noteworthy that on January 18, the ED team raided the premises of Honey, his friend and partner Kudratdeep Singh, and Sandeep Kumar and recovered an amount of Rs 10 crore.

After this, the investigation was started about the fact that out of the directors of MS Provider Overseas Consultant Private Limited.

Kudratdeep and Bhupinder Singh Honey son of Santokh Singh and Sandeep Kumar son Kasturi Lal, who had Rs 10 crore.

In the case of money laundering, the ED started this action on the basis of the FIR registered at the Rahon police station of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar.

In the FIR registered on March 7, 2018, it was mentioned that illegal sand mining is being done in the joint action of mining and district administration and police teams.

In the addition to sand mining outside the designated area, many illegal tippers, trucks, and machines were working on the spot.

There may be trouble for many including Channi.

Many other leaders including Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi may come under the ED’s target after Honey admits that he earned Rs 10 crore from illegal mining.

The ED has gathered a lot of documents in the earlier investigation that there is the complicity of many big leaders and officials including 13 MLAs in illegal sand mining in Punjab.

If ED even opens the old file, then the trouble of all of them can increase.

Illegal sand mining will again become a big issue in the assembly elections

The action taken by the ED before the polling in the Punjab Assembly elections may not be related to the elections.

ED started investigation long back but ED’s action is being politicized by various parties. Channi’s opponents will make illegal sand mining a big issue.

Honey’s friends Kudratdeep and Sandeep were questioned by the ED for the entire matter.

Kudratdeep had appeared before the ED twice and gave his explanation and only after that, did the ED arrest, Honey. Actually, friends put Honey in the dock.

Many officers can also get caught.

After Honey confesses the truth in front of the ED, many officers can also come under the clutches.

Because, along with illegal mining, he has also admitted to earning an amount of Rs 10 crore from transfers and postings.

Now the question is how many officers were involved in this case and from where did they get crores of rupees to give to Honey.
