President Honored The Heroes Of Galwan Valley

President honored the heroes of Galwan Valley, Martyr Colonel Santosh Babu honored Mahavir Chakra.

Colonel Santosh Babu, who was martyred in a violent clash with Chinese soldiers in Galvan Valley in Ladakh, was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra posthumously on Tuesday.

President Ram Nath Kovind handed over gallantry awards to Santosh Babu’s mother and wife.

At the same time, four other soldiers who were part of Operation Snow Leopard with him were also awarded the Vir Chakra.

President honored the heroes of Galwan Valley: Naib Subedar Nuduram Soren, Havildar K Pilani, Naik Deepak Singh, and Sepoy Gurtej Singh were also part of this operation.

At the same time, Group Captain Abhinandan Varthaman was awarded the Vir Chakra in the decoration ceremony held on Monday.

The Army Citation states that Colonel Bikumala Santosh Babu of Bihar Regiment (16 Bihar) was assigned the responsibility of setting up an observation post as Commanding Officer during Operation Snow-Leopard in Galwan Valley of Eastern Ladakh on June 15, 2020.

In the face of the violent and aggressive action of the enemy, he put the true spirit of service above himself and relentlessly resisted the enemy’s attempts to push back the Indian troops.

Despite being seriously injured, he led the skirmish till his last breath.

Besides these, four Para Special Forces Subedar Sanjeev Kumar was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra for killing a terrorist and injuring two others in the Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

President Ram Nath Kovind handed over the award to his wife.

At the same time, the President honored Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Choudhary with the Param Vishisht Seva Medal.

The Bravehearts of Jammu and Kashmir raised the name of the country, Aman-Imran-Ashiq was posthumously awarded the Shaurya Chakra

When the saga of valor and sacrifice of the Bravehearts of Jammu and Kashmir resonated in Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday, everyone present there held their heads high with pride.

President Ram Nath Kovind has awarded Shaurya Chakra to five officers and personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Marty DSP Aman Thakur, Sub Inspector Imran Tak, and Shaheed SPO Ashiq Hussain Malik have been given this honor posthumously.

Apart from these, Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Subhash Chandra has also been honored with Shaurya Chakra by the President.
