President has approved a high-level inquiry against the Vice-Chancellor of DU. Chancellor of Delhi University can lose his job, President approved investigation.

The President has approved a high-level inquiry against Delhi University Vice-Chancellor Professor Yogesh Tyagi.

The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had taken a stern stance and decided to conduct a high-level inquiry against him after several cases related to the administrative irregularities against the Vice-Chancellor came to light.

Also, permission was sought from the President regarding this. The ministry has also started the formation of the committee after getting permission from the President on Tuesday.

The decision was taken by Union Education Minister Nishank against the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University when the Vice Chancellor of the University Yogesh Tyagi appointed a new Pro-VC and Registrar in the University during his medical leave.

Due to which there was chaos in the university.

This situation created in the university during the admission process led to a chaos. Finally, after the whole issue came to light, the Ministry of Education took strong action.

The ministry on Tuesday confirmed the president’s approval to investigate against the vice-chancellor. At the same time, early investigation has indicated strong action against the vice chancellor.

Chancellor accused of wrongly appointing pro-VC and registrar during medical leave.

Along with this, the Ministry has also indicated strong action against PC Jha, who was involved in this dispute and made the Registrar. In which they can also be suspended.

According to the ministry, he has been given notice on behalf of the university, in which he has to reply in a day. Action will be decided after this.

According to officials associated with the ministry, Union Minister Nishank had held a meeting of officials in the past on this dispute related to Delhi University, in which he had given a clear instruction to not spare any such cases.

The ministry is unhappy with this, as the vice-chancellor made this appointment during the holiday. Also, in this case Pro-VC PC Joshi was also not taken into confidence.

At the same time, after the objection of Professor Joshi, he was also removed while on leave and appointed a new pro-VC in his place. The ministry intervened, dismissing the appointment of the vice-chancellor, denouncing the decision as false.
