Union Interior Minister Amit Shah unveiled a 120-foot statue of a polo player at the Merging Polo Complex in Manipur’s Imphal East District on Friday.

Manipur is regarded as the birthplace of the game. During this time, Prime Minister N. Biren Singh presented Amit Shah with a polo mallet and a painting depicting the match.

The Federal Interior Minister, who arrived in Manipur on Thursday evening, will travel to Churachandpur, which is opening the first medical school and hospital in the mountainous region.

From there he will proceed to Moirang in the Bishnupur district, where he will unfurl the national flag and address the public.

Besides inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of projects worth Rs 1,300 crore.

Today the second National Conference of Chief Secretaries is being organized in Delhi. This three-day conference started on 5 January.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is presiding over this meeting on Friday and Saturday. The conclave will focus on achieving rapid and sustained economic growth in partnership with the states.

Through this conference, an attempt will be made to tell that cooperative federalism is an important pillar for the development and progress of the country by working together with the central ministries and departments.

The first chief secretary meeting was scheduled to be held in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh in June 2022.

The three-day conclave will focus on working with countries to achieve rapid and sustainable economic growth. More than 200 people participate.

This includes representatives of the central government, chief secretaries from all states and federal districts, and other senior officials and experts.
