PM Modi will talk to experts in the oil and gas sector today, these things will be discussed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with CEOs and experts of the global oil and gas sector via video conference on Wednesday.

During this, the major issues involved in the field and the potential opportunities can be discussed. Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep S Puri will also be present on the occasion.

The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that this is the sixth such annual interaction, which began in 2016.

It is comprised of global leaders in the oil and gas sector, who deliberate on key issues in the sector and explore potential areas of cooperation and investment with India.

The broad theme of this meeting is Promoting Clean Development and Sustainability.

During this, discussions will be held on areas such as promoting exploration and production in the hydrocarbon sector in India, energy self-sufficiency, gas-based economy, emission reduction through clean and energy-efficient solutions, green hydrogen economy, and increasing biofuel production.

PM Modi will talk to experts: India and the European Union reviewed the strategic partnership, many important steps were discussed.

The Ministry of External Affairs said on Tuesday that the third India-European Union (EU) Strategic Partnership Review was held in Brussels on 19 October.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, the two sides exchanged views on ways to deal with the corona epidemic and its effects on the economy, society, and people.

The talks focused mainly on cooperation in tackling the challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution and contributing to the success of the upcoming COP-26.

India and the EU also discussed further steps to implement the decision of the India and EU leaders to resume negotiations for a balanced, ambitious, comprehensive, and mutually beneficial trade agreement.

Also, further steps for the implementation of the India-EU Connectivity Partnership were discussed. This partnership was agreed upon in May 2021.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that in view of the meeting of the leaders of India and the European Union on 8 May 2021.

The overall review of the strategic alliance between India and the EU was done in this discussion.

A clear roadmap for deepening was drawn up, guided by the “India-EU Strategic Alliance: The Blueprint for 2025”.

In this meeting, topics such as the challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution and contributing to the success of the impending climate COP26 were discussed in this meeting, the ministry statement said.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that India and the European Union discussed the next steps to implement the decision taken by the leaders of both sides to start talks for a balanced, ambitious, comprehensive, and mutually beneficial trade agreement.

It added that the two sides also discussed initiating talks on a separate investment protection agreement.
