Prior to the meeting, a senior BJP official said, “The purpose of the meeting is to take stock of how our preparations are for the assembly elections in various states?”
Emphasis on strategy for electoral states!
Assembly elections are due in Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam, and Puducherry in a few months. BJP is trying to increase its base in these states.
It is understood that after the meeting with the general secretaries, the BJP president will give more edge to the party’s strategy for the assembly elections in these states.
This important meeting churned out the agenda of the meeting of the national officials, the programs being run by the state units, and the preparations of the electoral states at a time when the Punjab, Haryana, and Western North are concerned about the three agricultural laws.
The farmers of the state have been agitating on the various borders of the capital Delhi for the last about three months. The agitating farmers’ organizations are trying to make the movement nationwide and constantly attack PM Modi.
