PM Modi appeals to voters to use franchise, says – follow the corona protocol too. The seventh phase of voting for the Bengal assembly elections is being held today.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to all voters to use their franchise.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted from his internet media account and appealed to the people of Bengal to come out and exercise their franchise.

Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi also said that people have to take care of the Corona Protocol and also follow the rules while casting their votes.

Mamta appealed to the people to vote fearlessly, said- Don’t worry about Corona, on the other hand, Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamta Banerjee have also appealed to the people to vote.

Mamta said that the public should not worry about Corona. After reaching the maximum number of polling stations, use their franchise fearlessly.

The Chief Secretary has been asked to make separate arrangements for the corona patients. Mamta told the people of the state, I am your watchman.

It is noteworthy that votes are being cast for 34 assembly seats today. Long queues have been lined up at polling stations since morning. People are allowed to vote after screening. Tight security arrangements have been made at polling stations.

The voting for the seventh phase of the Bengal assembly elections has started between Corona. Despite the epidemic, there is a crowd in front of the booths. This phase is also like a rigorous examination for the Election Commission.

The focus of the commission is now more than the security arrangements to make a strong arrangement to prevent the infection from spreading during polling.

Special instructions have been given to the administration and election personnel in this regard.

A total of 796 companies of central forces have been deployed in the seventh phase, out of which 653 companies are handling the booths.

Two companies have been deployed in Asansol-Durgapur 154, South Dinajpur 108, Jangipur PD 102, Kolkata South 63, Malda 122, 102 Murshidabad, and Raiganj PD.

In this phase, votes will be cast for 34 seats in Kolkata, Dakshin Dinajpur, Malda, Murshidabad, and West Bardhaman. A total of 268 candidates are in the fray, including 37 women.

About 82 lakh voters will decide their political fortunes.

Earlier, voting was to be held in 36 seats in this phase, but in Jungipur and Shamsherganj seats of Murshidabad district, one candidate will die on May 16 due to the death of one candidate each from Corona.

Due to this the number of candidates has also come down from 284 to 268. In the seventh phase, people will exercise their franchise at a total of 11,376 booths.
