PDM Chief Rehman Acknowledges Differences Between Parties

PDM chief Rehman acknowledges deep differences between parties, open opposition solidarity in Pakistan.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the Chief of the Pakistan Democratic Movement PDM, said on Saturday that the opposition coalition is united to a definite target despite all its inequalities.

The special thing is that this idea of PDM chief has come at a time when differences between the parties of both the parties have come up on the proposal of PPP.

In fact, the PPP, which is part of the opposition alliance, proposes that public authority be removed without any definite agitation. PML-N rejected this concept of PPP.

Addressing the media in Peshawar, Rehman said that Imran Khan’s government no longer has any moral right to continue in power.

The movement will start from 9 February

After a gathering of PDM’s Guiding Advisory Group in Islamabad, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman said he would hold the first conference of the new forum at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi on 5 February.

The PDM chief said that another public meeting would be held on 9 February in Hyderabad and on 13 February in Sialkot.

Let us tell that PDM coordinated the conferences of Peshawar, Gujranwala, Karachi, Quetta, Multan and Lahore from October 16 last year.

The PDM requested the resignation of Imran Khan by 31 January 2021. Now this deadline has ended. Therefore, PDM has once again chosen the path of agitation.

Establishment of PDM on September 20, 2020

Significantly, on September 20, 2020, a meeting of the major opposition parties in Pakistan in Islamabad prepared a major protest against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The opposition coalition demanded a resignation from Imran Khan. In this meeting, it was announced to run a countrywide movement against the government of Imran.

The new coalition was renamed the Pakistan Democratic Movement. The opposition alliance is, in fact, opposing the military’s interference in Pakistan’s politics.

The opposition is demanding a new law of accountability. After this meeting, the leader of Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had tweeted that PDM is an important step in the direction of democratic Pakistan.

Bilawal strongly welcomed this alliance. Former Prime Minister and PML (N) leader Nawaz Sharif addressed the meeting via video conference.
