Nitish Govt Cabinet Meeting: The first meeting of the newly formed Nitish cabinet will be divided between the portfolios of ministers today.
After Nitish Govt Cabinet Meeting Bihar Assembly Election, on Monday, a new government of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was formed under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
The first cabinet meeting of the government, which is starting work with the formation, is going to be held from 11 am on Tuesday.
Allocation of Portfolios will be divided among the cabinet colleagues in the first meeting of the cabinet.
With this, it will be agreed to call the first session of the Legislature from 23 November. Speakers will be elected in the first session and new members will be sworn in.
Nitish cabinet’s first meeting today
According to information received from cabinet secretariat sources, the process of formation of the 17th assembly is to begin with the formation of the new government.
Cabinet Secretariat Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that till now the department has not been given the official information of the cabinet meeting.
It is likely that the first meeting of the new cabinet will be held on Tuesday from 11 am.
Ministers’ departments will be divided in the meeting
The portfolios of ministers will be divided in the first meeting of the cabinet.
It will be interesting to see whether the old ministers of the cabinet will have their previous portfolios or will be given new responsibilities.
Speaker will be selected in the Legislature session
After this, the first Protem Speaker will be selected from November 23 during the proposed Legislature session. The Protem Speaker will administer the oath to the new members of the Assembly.
After this, the newly appointed members will select the Speaker. It is believed that the NDA has agreed to make BJP’s Nand Kishore Yadav a speaker.
The NDA is considered to be a speaker in view of the majority in the Bihar Assembly. Nandkishore Yadav has become the MLA from Patna sahib Assembly Seat for the seventh time.
He was the Minister of Road Construction in the previous government.
The new government is starting work from today
It is to be noted that the NDA has formed a government under the leadership of Nitish Kumar after securing majority in Bihar assembly elections.
On Monday, 14 other ministers were sworn in along with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. After taking oath, now the new government is going to start work from Tuesday.
