After beating Australia, the hosts bundled out New Zealand for just 60 runs in the first match of the T20 series.

Batting first in the first match of the five-match T20I series, the Kiwis were reduced to just 60 runs in 16.5 overs. This is the New Zealand team’s lowest score so far in T20.

New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and elected to bat against Bangladesh on Wednesday. The top four batsmen of the team could not even reach double digits.

By the score of just 9 runs, New Zealand’s four wickets had fallen. Opener Rachin Ravinder came back to open the account.

Tom Blundon lost his wicket after scoring 2 runs.

There was a short partnership between captain Latham and Henry Nicholls after four wickets fell for 9 runs. This too was broken when the team’s score was 43 runs.

On Wednesday, New Zealand’s team was reduced to its lowest score in T20 against Bangladesh. Earlier, in 2014 against Sri Lanka, the team was all out for 60 while playing in Bangladesh.

Playing against Pakistan at home in 2014, the team was bundled out for 80 runs, which was their third-lowest score in T20.
