Bommai had said during the second wave last year that the fund has been released and if anyone is released, they will be compensated.

The number of corona cases in Karnataka has crossed the 300 mark in the last 24 hours. The state recorded 301 new Covid cases, while Bengaluru alone recorded 291 infections.
The positivity rate has increased to 1.40 percent. In the last 24 hours, one patient died due to corona. The total number of active cases in the state is 2,414.
The total active cases in Bengaluru are 2,294. A total of 21,413 tests were conducted in the state till Sunday evening.
