The trailer of the Netflix film The White Tiger has been released. The White Tiger is based on the novel of 2008 Arvind Adiga by the same name. The film stars Priyanka Chopra and Rajkumar Rao with Adarsh Gaurav in the lead roles.
This is Adarsh’s first film. The White Tiger Novel won the 40th Booker Prize. The White Tiger mainly comments on poverty, caste, religion, politics, corruption.
The story of the film is told through Balaram Halwai, the character of Adarsh Gaurav. Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao are in the role of Amir NRI Couple, who comes to India for some work.
Balaram works as a driver here. He comes from the disadvantaged class of society. After a few surprising twists, Balaram manages to change his life. The White Tiger is made in the English language.
Priyanka shared the stills of The White Tiger a few days ago and revealed that her character in the film is named Pinky Madam, a first-generation diaspora in the US.
She comes to India with her husband, who is traveling in connection with business. And then … life changes. Pinky Madam is a very special character, which was enjoyable to portray in the story. This is a story that needs to be told.
The White Tiger is written and directed by Ramin Bahrani. Priyanka wrote another post, in which she said- “I read The White Tiger many years ago and got caught by this powerful story of Arvind Adiga.
So when I listened to making a feature film on it, I knew that I had to be a part of it – it’s an honor for me as an executive producer and supporting actor.
Priyanka said on her experience working with Ramin that she has seen the world differently. “The film has been co-produced by Mukul Devra. The film will be released in December.
Mahesh Manjrekar is also playing an important character in The White Tiger.
Netflix recently released a web series on Vikram Seth’s bestselling novel A Suitable Boy, directed by Meera Nair. The series was also in English and was dubbed into Hindi.
