Nepal Political Crisis: Differences Between Oli And Prachanda

Nepal Political Crisis: differences not settled from Oli and Prachanda’s 4-hour talks, deepening crisis in Nepal.

The meeting of the ruling Communist Party Board of Secretaries in Nepal ended on Saturday.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and party’s working president Pushp Kamal Dahal Prachanda spoke face to face in the meeting but no result came out.

Both were adamant on their respective things. Internal differences within the party remained the same.

In the meeting held at the government sandwater residence of the Prime Minister.

It was decided that now all the meetings of the party, including the meeting of the Standing Committee, will take place in the Central Office of the Communist Party at Dhumbarahi in Kathmandu.

Party spokesperson Narayan Kazi Shrestha said, “Internal problems of the party were discussed in the meeting of the secretary board, but no solution was found.”

According to party sources, before the meeting of the Board of Secretaries, Oli and Prachanda held talks for about four hours in solitude but the problems could not be resolved.

The biggest stalemate in the party is the demand of former Prime Minister Prachanda, Madhav Kumar Nepal, and some senior leaders that Oli should leave the post of Prime Minister or one of the party presidents.

A section dissatisfied with Oli wants to apply the principle of one person-one position in the party for which Oli is not ready.

The standing committee will discuss the letters given by Prachanda and Oli at a meeting to be held at the party office on Sunday. In these letters, both have accused each other.

Prachanda in his letter has accused Oli of running the government arbitrarily without taking the party into confidence. He has also accused Oli of corruption.

While Ollie denied all the allegations. It is said that Prachanda prove his (Oli’s) corruption or apologize for making false accusations.

In this way, the political crisis in Nepal seems to be deepening, due to which there is a crisis in this country.
