Navjot Singh Sidhu quits the post of PPCC: Congress and Sonia did not like Sidhu’s model.

After the humiliating defeat of the Congress in Punjab, Congress President Sonia Gandhi sought the resignation of State President Navjot Singh Sidhu yesterday.

The firebrand leaders of the party could not handle the responsibility of the state president even for eight months. It is believed that Congress and Sonia did not like the Sidhu model in Punjab.

Congress has started a review of defeat in Punjab from Tuesday itself. For this, a meeting of the Malwa zone has been held.

In this, most of the leaders have been blamed for the defeat of Sidhu, Channi, and Sunil Jakhar.

It is worth mentioning that the Congress had handed over the command of the state Congress to Sidhu on July 18 last year against the wishes of Captain Amarinder Singh.

There was a tussle in Congress as soon as he took over. A rebellion broke out against the then Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

The Captain not only had to resign from the post of Chief Minister, but he also left the party. In November, Sidhu again opened a front against his own government.

Sidhu had resigned from the post of state president, raising questions on the appointment of Advocate General (DG) and Director General of Police (DGP).

Due to the close of the elections, the government had to bow down to Sidhu and the government changed the AG and DGP.

But now after the defeat, the high command has demanded Sidhu’s resignation.
