After MLA and former minister Vinay Bihari, the state tourism minister Narayan Prasad has opposed changing the main stream of the river by constructing the channel on the border of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

In this regard, he has written a letter to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Water Resources Minister Sanjay Jha and the Principal Secretary of the department and requested to stop the channel construction work.

Opposition to change of rivers.

The tourism minister has written in his letter that the channel is being constructed by the Uttar Pradesh agency, which will lead to the main stream of rivers of Uttar Pradesh in the Gandak river of Bihar.

This will increase the pressure on the Champaran embankment, which will affect Yogapatti, Bairia and Nautan block. District Headquarters Betia may also be affected in the devastation of floods.

The Tourism Minister said that the work is being done at night after the SDO of Bettiah stops the construction of the channel.

There is a lot of anger in the public due to this. If the government has taken any decision in this context, it should be reviewed.

There is a lot of concern about the scheme in the border villages of Bihar-UP.

The scheme is expected to affect dozens of villages in several blocks of West Champaran (Bettiah) district of Bihar. People of these villages say that floods and erosion in many villages of UP cause havoc every year.

Now the UP government is creating such a channel, through which this devastation can now come in the part of Bihar.

BJP MLA Vinay Bihari had claimed recently that dozens of villages in Yogapatti block would be severely damaged due to the formation of this channel.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is now in a very strong position in Champaran. The tourism minister of the state is also from BJP.

From the Champaran region, there is also the Deputy Chief Minister of the Bihar Government, Ren Devi and the State President of the BJP, Sanjay Jaiswal.

BJP MLA Vinay Bihari says that the most impact of this channel will be on the people of his constituency. All these leaders are upset due to public outrage.
