Lok Sabha deadlock broken on the pretext of following democratic tradition, opposition considered after Rajnath’s appeal.

After the defense minister Rajnath Singh’s appeal to keep the country’s healthy democratic tradition above party boundaries, the opposition ended the ongoing political struggle in the Lok Sabha regarding agrarian reform laws.

The business began in the Lok Sabha with the break-up of the week-long deadlock and discussion on the President’s vote of thanks began.

The Lok Sabha meeting lasted till 12 in the night due to the high number of participants in the discussion.

Rajnath Singh said – It is everyone’s responsibility to pass a vote of thanks beyond party limits.

Regardless of the government of any party, its first task is to pass this resolution. This vote of thanks in Rajya Sabha has been passed after debate.

Rajnath said – We do not mind if the opposition speaks on the issue of anti-agricultural law farmers.

Rajnath said that in order to maintain the tradition of our vibrant democracy, the proposal should be passed unanimously in the Lok Sabha also by arguing it.

He said that the leaders of all parties also sincerely want to maintain the vibrancy of our tradition of democracy. The President is also a part of the Parliament. Therefore, no institution should be disregarded.

It is the responsibility of the members of all parties. Rajnath said that that is why, with folded hands, he appeals not to break this tradition and we have no objection if the opposition speaks openly on the issue of anti-agricultural law farmers.

Discussion till midnight

A time of 15 hours has been set to discuss the President’s address but due to the long list of speakers, the Lok Sabha meeting was extended to 12 at night. The Lok Sabha meeting is currently scheduled from 4 pm to 9 pm.

Meenakshi Lekhi, who was presiding over the house, said that due to a large number of speakers, the time of the meeting was extended till midnight. This discussion will continue on Tuesday.
