Landslide incident in Ghatkopar amid heavy rains, fire tenders reached the spot: Mumbai.

A landslide incident has come to the fore in Ghatkopar of Panchsheel Nagar, the capital of Maharashtra, amidst heavy rains. Mumbai Fire Brigade said that fire tenders have reached the spot.

No casualties have been reported so far.

Meteorological Department has also issued a heavy rain alert for Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, Beed, Latur, Jalna, Parbhani, and many other areas.

The water stock in 7 water sources supplying water in Mumbai has reached 13 percent, which was 11 percent till last week.

Municipal officials said that the water level is likely to rise further after heavy rains. An orange alert has been issued by IMD in Mumbai.

This means that there will be heavy rain in the coming days. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in the Konkan region till July 8.
