Kerala Smuggling Case: New Allegations From Swapnas Audio Tap

Kerala Smuggling Case: CM Vijayan and Balakrishnan’s money was being transported to America through the church, and new allegations surfaced from Swapna Suresh’s audio tape.

An audio tape of the conversation between the main accused Swapna Suresh and former journalist Shaj Kiran in the gold smuggling case has surfaced.

It has been alleged in this tape that funds of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI(M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is reaching America through Believers Church.

Swapna has also given this new information to the media by holding a press conference in Palakkad on Friday. Accused Swapna has recently come out of jail on bail.

She alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his wife Kamala, and their daughter Veena smuggled currency and gold.

In the audio tape, Kiran is heard telling Swapna that she is close to both Vijayan and Balakrishnan and that their money is being sent to America through Believers Church.

The headquarters of Believers Church is located at Thiruvala in the Pathanamthitta district. So now the FCRA license of this church has been canceled.

Kiran was also heard saying that Swapna had made a mistake by saying serious things about Chief Minister Vijayan in the media.

He is very angry that his daughter’s name has also been dragged into this case. Kiran advises Swapna to hustle the matter by taking money.

Attempts to threaten people ready to give evidence against the government.

Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly VD Satheesan alleged that the ruling Left Democratic Party (LDF) government was trying to intimidate those ready to give evidence against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

He said that new cases are being registered against those who want to give evidence.

He alleged that the government conducted a vigilance inquiry against another accused and he was abducted.

Meanwhile, Congress has held protests across Kerala demanding the arrest of Chief Minister Vijayan.

Kannur police issued notices against state Congress president K. Sudhakaran, saying there was a possibility of violence during the party’s march.
